The Kenyan basketball champions are making a comeback after missing 2024's showpiece
Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), who are set to return to the Women's Basketball League Africa (WBLA) from Friday, 5 December, will have experienced Libyan coach Nabil Kabalan calling the shots.
KPA qualified for the premier continental women's club competition in Nairobi on Sunday, 16 November, beating Burundi's Les Hippos 89-81 in overtime for third place, qualifying alongside Rwandese sides APR and REG.

Long-serving coach Antony Ojukwu led the side's comeback to the continental showpiece, having missed last year's edition after a disappointing fourth place in the Zone Five qualifiers.
"Welcome to the KPA DOCKERS Coach Nabil Kabalan. Assistant Coach Libya National team and Al alhly Tripoli (sic)," a brief statement from KPA on their socials, reads in part.
Coach Kabalan's well-decorated resume includes serving as the assistant coach for the Libyan National Team.
Libya had a successful 2025 AfroBasket Qualifiers campaign, where they finished 4-2 and secured their place in the African Championship for the first time since 2009.
Additionally, he was part of Al Ahli Tripoli's bench led by the experienced Lebanese coach Fouad Abou Chakra and countryman Abdalla Shalabi, in winning the fifth Basketball Africa League (BAL) championship title.
KPA last featured in 2023 as the Zone Five champions. Under Ojukwu and led by Kenya internationals Madina Okot and Victoria Reynolds, the side made the final for the very first time, losing out on a maiden title after falling to hosts Alexanderia Sporting Club.
